Waypoint Housing Insights

Charles J. Ramsey is the President of Waypoint Housing Insights. He has over twenty years of background in the affordable housing industry, assisting in the creation of over sixty affordable housing developments across the southeast. In 2017, Ramsey created Waypoint Housing Insights as a means to better provide quality housing opportunities and resources for elderly, disabled and low-income persons and families. He reports to and serves at the behest of the Board of Directors as the principal executive officer of the corporation.  He presides at all meetings of the Board of Directors and, in general, performs all of the duties as may from time to time be prescribed by the Board of Directors. He also gathers and reports information on the performance of the corporation and the individual businesses in which the corporation is involved, the compliance of the affordable housing developments with their financing program requirements as well as any programs through which the corporation secures support for itself, the upcoming and perspective opportunities of the corporation, and the ongoing needs of the corporation, among other things.    

 

The Board of Directors of Waypoint Housing Insights, Inc. is the governing body of the corporation. It is comprised of 5 professionals who, through their professional careers, have some knowledge and participation in the business of affordable housing creation, ownership and/or operation. The Directors meet at least semi-annually to discuss, supervise, conduct and direct the President and the business activities of the corporation.

The Board of Directors of Waypoint Housing Insights authorizes and makes the final decision regarding all involvement in business opportunities, investments, applications, and participation in affordable housing developments and other endeavors. The Board of Directors has the authority to receive, administer, invest and distribute property on behalf of the corporation in accordance with the Bylaws.

 

Each member of the Board of Directors brings unique professional experience from varying sectors of the affordable housing industry through their current and/or previous occupation(s), including serving in the public sector. These diverse experiences not only provide an overall wide base of expert knowledge of the key business of the corporation, but also typically results in several different perspectives on the corporation’s activities, strategies, and opportunities. The Directors’ personal backgrounds vary as well, from the different types of communities in which they reside (urban vs. rural), to their ages and familial status (single vs married with children), which also provides valuable contrast in their opinions and ideas.
